HOW WE WORK TOGETHER

Working With Contractor's Choice Agency

A straight look at what you get, what we need from you, and who we're actually a good fit for.

What We Offer You

A founder who's done your job

Josh Cotner ran his own contracting business before he became an insurance agent in 2005. Twenty-plus years later, CCA still works exclusively with contractors and trade businesses — not a general agency that happens to sell you a policy too.

A fast answer, not a waiting game

Most new quotes come back in 15 minutes or less. Renewal quotes land within 24 hours of us getting your information. You find out where you stand quickly, instead of chasing us for an update.

Someone on the claims side, not just the sales side

If you ever need to report a claim, our claims team reviews what you send within 2 hours during business hours — real people looking at your claim, not a ticket queue.

What We Need From You

A way to reach you

To start a quote, we only require an email and a phone number. Everything else on the quote form — business details, revenue, payroll — is optional, but the more you give us up front, the more accurate your quote.

Real numbers when it's time to quote

Gross sales, subcontracting costs, payroll, number of employees, and your largest jobs. These are the numbers our rater actually uses — estimates are fine to start, but accurate figures are what keep your price from moving later.

A few minutes to talk it through

The rater does the math, but a short call is usually what turns a quote into a bound policy — confirming details, picking coverage limits, and making sure nothing in your business changed since the last renewal.

A GOOD FIT

This Works Best If...

✓You're a contractor or trade business — general liability, workers' comp, commercial auto, builders risk, umbrella, contractors pollution, or professional liability.
✓You operate anywhere in the US — CCA is licensed in all 50 states.
✓You want a quote without playing phone tag for a week.
✓You'd rather talk to someone who understands the trades than a general call center.

One honest exception: CCA focuses exclusively on contractors and trade businesses. If insurance for contractors isn't what your business needs, we're probably not the right agency for you — and we'd rather tell you that up front than waste your time.

THE BOTTOM LINE

It's a Two-Way Street

We bring 20+ years of contractor-only insurance experience, a 50-state license, and a claims team that actually picks up. You bring the real numbers for your business and a few minutes of your time. That's the whole relationship.

Getting a quote from us is free, every time — there's no cost and no obligation to find out where you stand.
